About the Role
Join Vitafoam Nigeria Plc, Nigeria's leading producer of polyether foam products, furniture, and adhesives since 1962, as a Mechanical Technician. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our state-of-the-art production equipment, ensuring optimal machinery performance, and supporting our commitment to quality and continuous production excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime and production disruption
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams and supervisors to enhance machine reliability and performance
- Ensure all machinery operates in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Provide technical support during production processes and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Maintain detailed technical reports and documentation of maintenance activities
- OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
- Minimum 5 years practical experience as a Mechanical Technician in manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in foam or chemical manufacturing preferred
- Strong expertise in industrial machinery, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
