About the Role
Scruples Resources is seeking a skilled Mechanical Services Lead to oversee mechanical operations, maintenance, and repair activities for the Nigerian energy and industrial sector. This critical role ensures the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all rotating and static mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily mechanical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
- Supervise mechanical technicians, fitters, contractors, and service personnel across various operational sites.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for pumps, compressors, turbines, and pressure vessels.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, and JSA protocols.
- Coordinate mechanical activities smoothly with operations, electrical, instrumentation, and QA/QC multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in root-cause investigations for equipment failures and support shutdown, turnaround, and commissioning activities.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in mechanical maintenance and operations within the oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
- Strong technical expertise in servicing rotating and static mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, equipment drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
