About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of comprehensive technical staffing, inspection, and procurement services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Marine & Lifting Equipment Engineer to oversee the reliability, safety, and compliance of our critical marine, lifting, and mechanical static assets across both offshore and onshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of maintenance plans for marine, lifting, crane, lifeboat, and related mechanical equipment.
- Develop and review inspection, testing, and maintenance work procedures in line with OEM recommendations and statutory regulations.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage corrective actions, repairs, and contractor activities.
- Coordinate technical support for offshore cranes, offloading hoses, buoys, and heavy lifting operations.
- Review Bills of Materials and manage spare parts requirements utilizing computerized maintenance management systems like SAP.
- Liaise with original equipment manufacturers, vendors, and third-party inspection bodies to ensure global best practices.
- Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities strictly comply with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering or a recognized equivalent Marine Engineering qualification.
- Professional certification as a Chief Engineer or equivalent will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical, marine, offshore, or lifting equipment engineering within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven hands-on expertise with offshore cranes, hydraulic systems, and heavy lifting equipment.
- Proficient in SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
