About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Fabricator / Welder to join our operations at the Apapa Terminal in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will perform high-standard fabrication, welding, and maintenance activities to ensure our industrial equipment and structures consistently meet rigorous operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision fabrication, welding, cutting, and fitting activities in strict accordance with approved technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Inspect raw materials, completed welds, and fabricated structures to guarantee exceptional quality and compliance.
  • Operate, maintain, and care for heavy-duty welding machines, fabrication tools, and related workshop equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, preventive checks, and minor repairs on equipment as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment by properly clearing tools and work areas after use.
  • Adhere strictly to all internal company policies, operational guidelines, and corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Report equipment defects, potential safety hazards, and operational bottlenecks promptly to management.
Qualifications
  • Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or recognized Trade Test Certificate in Welding, Fabrication, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern fabrication and welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Physically fit with the capacity to handle demanding field tasks, work at various plant locations, and manage a 12-hour shift schedule across six days a week.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, punctuality, and team collaboration.
