About the Role
International Breweries Plc, a renowned leader in the beverage manufacturing sector in Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance systems, optimizing spares management, generating routine and planned maintenance schedules, and ensuring the seamless execution of all engineering tasks while maintaining strict safety and Permit-to-Work compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and lead planned maintenance pre-meetings and postmortems to evaluate required work, resource allocation, and lessons learned.
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule all routine and ad-hoc maintenance tasks, generating necessary work requests.
- Coordinate with departmental heads and allocate resources for maintenance and cleaning days, as well as annual shutdown programs.
- Apply structured problem-solving approaches to resolve equipment issues and escalate complex engineering challenges when necessary.
- Analyze SAP maintenance systems to identify recurring problems, track asset care standards, and recommend schedule enhancements.
- Ensure that required spares are available on time and within budget to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Identify asset care training needs for machine specialists and shift teams to foster continuous skill development.
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant production engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Solid, hands-on experience utilizing SAP maintenance modules.
- In-depth knowledge of brewing and utilities plant equipment, systems, and operational processes.
- Strong diagnostic abilities coupled with assertive leadership and excellent people management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems.
