About the Role
HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading building solutions company and member of the LafargeHolcim group, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Execution Coordinator to join our operations. In this vital role, you will ensure the flawless completion of mechanical maintenance activities with the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness to maximize overall plant equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance activities across the Quarry, Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement Mill, and Packing Plant to ensure efficient execution.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance practices, ensuring weekly schedule compliance above 90 percent.
- Lead rapid responses to mechanical breakdowns, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Pareto tools to eliminate recurrence.
- Manage maintenance resources, ensuring the availability of tools, manpower, and critical spares in collaboration with the stores and planning teams.
- Supervise external contractors and internal technicians, ensuring strict compliance with Huaxin HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Track and report key maintenance KPIs including MTBF, schedule compliance, and work order backlogs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduation experience in mechanical maintenance execution, preferably within the cement or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in maintenance management tools such as SAP and CMMS.
- Strong knowledge of reliability-based maintenance practices and safety regulations.
