About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of industrial machinery and production equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring seamless production workflows in a demanding manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and supervise routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance schedules for all machinery and production equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rapidly repair mechanical faults and unexpected equipment breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics to maximize operational efficiency and minimize costly downtime.
- Proactively identify potential equipment failures and implement robust preventive engineering measures.
- Collaborate closely with production and technical teams to resolve mechanical issues promptly and support daily targets.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, and operational reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with all industrial health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
- Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement programs to enhance overall plant performance.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience within a structured industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in machinery maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Prior experience within food processing, agricultural processing, or heavy manufacturing sectors is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols, equipment efficiency optimization, and cost-control practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern computerized maintenance management systems.
- Relevant professional certifications will be considered an added advantage.
