About the Role
Amel International Services Limited, a renowned manufacturer of quality food products including baking lines and breakfast cereals since 1987, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will ensure our production machinery operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the installation, assembly, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and equipment.
- Carry out proactive preventive and corrective maintenance on all production machinery.
- Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend effective remedies or modifications.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to restore equipment to optimal operation quickly.
- Inspect mechanical systems regularly to identify faults and potential maintenance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall plant efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records while strictly adhering to safety standards.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in troubleshooting production machinery.
- Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance best practices.
