About the Role
Independent Project Monitoring Company Limited (IPMC) is a premier firm of professional consultants specializing in the oil and gas, infrastructure, and building sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and seasoned Lead Civil & Structural Assurance Consultant to drive excellence and ensure the highest standards of project delivery across our operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert civil and structural construction assurance across major industrial, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee foundations, piling, reinforced concrete works, structural steelwork, and heavy industrial structures.
- Monitor earthworks, roads, drainage systems, and complex underground infrastructure development.
- Execute rigorous construction QA/QC processes, technical inspections, and contractor progress verifications.
- Lead contractor progress certification, non-conformance identification, and swift technical close-outs.
- Direct technical and assurance teams, ensuring adherence to global best practices, project timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Maintain high professional integrity, impartiality, and independent oversight while managing key stakeholder relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience, including significant leadership or supervisory tenure.
- Extensive background in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power, manufacturing, or major infrastructure projects.
- Mandatory relevant professional registration or chartered status, such as COREN, CEng, PE, MRICS, or NIQS.
- Proven expertise operating within EPC/EPCM, Owner's Engineer, Third-Party Inspection, or Project Assurance environments.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, technical reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
