About the Role
We are seeking two dynamic, highly skilled Mechanical Engineers with robust electromechanical and fair instrumentation expertise to join our client's expanding engineering team in Port Harcourt. The ideal candidates will seamlessly combine practical mechanical engineering proficiency with hands-on knowledge of electromechanical systems, control devices, piping systems, and specialized instruments. This critical role involves designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrated mechanical systems across diverse operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, install, and maintain mechanical systems featuring electromechanical and instrumentation components.
- Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot diverse instrumentation devices including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
- Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
- Interpret complex technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation loop diagrams accurately.
- Conduct advanced system diagnostics, fault analysis, and root cause investigations on unexpected equipment failures.
- Ensure strict compliance with occupational safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on project planning, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical reports, maintenance logs, and comprehensive equipment documentation.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical and electromechanical engineering experience.
- Mandatory completion of the NYSC program.
- Must reside in Port Harcourt or be fully prepared to relocate immediately.
- Strong working knowledge of valves, motors, compressors, and industrial piping systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and applying superior problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
