About the Role
Megastar Technical & Construction Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanical Draughtsman - Design to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will produce accurate and detailed mechanical drawings and models for EPCCM projects, translating engineers' concepts into construction-ready documentation. Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive mechanical drawings, including piping layouts, equipment general arrangements, isometrics, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D models from engineers' sketches, markups, and technical design specifications.
- Revise technical drawings promptly to reflect design changes, redline markups, and as-built conditions.
- Ensure all deliverables strictly comply with project specifications, client requirements, and recognized industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
- Maintain organized drawing registers, robust version control, and comprehensive document revision records.
- Coordinate seamlessly with civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineering teams to identify and resolve design clashes.
- Provide vital support to site teams with drawing clarifications and technical queries.
- Possess an OND, HND, B.Eng, or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Draughtsmanship, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional drafting experience, ideally within the oil and gas, EPC, or heavy construction sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, with added advantage given for knowledge of SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or SmartPlant 3D.
- Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines.
