About the Role
Alpha Bravo Integrated Services Limited is a premier provider of customized technical solutions operating within the dynamic maritime, petrochemical, energy, oil, and gas sectors of Nigeria. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and delivering robust mechanical systems, marine solutions, and technical services that meet the highest international industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Produce detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs, drawings, and schematics using industry-standard CAD software for oil, gas, and marine applications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop innovative engineering solutions for rig moves, offshore vessels, and swamp barges.
- Perform engineering calculations, stress analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure structural integrity and operational safety.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and detailed fabrication instructions for manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate in laser scanning data interpretation and integrate point cloud data into accurate engineering designs.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and international regulatory codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning phases of various engineering projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in mechanical design within the oil and gas, maritime, or heavy engineering sector.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of engineering codes, standards, and material specifications applicable to offshore and marine environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
