About the Role
White Soul Motors Ltd, a subsidiary of White Soul Investment Ltd with over 19 years of operational excellence in the Nigerian automotive industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic for our Calabar location. In this role, you will play a vital part in inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of trucks and heavy-duty commercial vehicles to ensure optimal safety, reliability, and efficiency for our daily haulage operations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on company trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and determine appropriate repair requirements with minimal supervision.
- Inspect engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other critical mechanical components.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules strictly in accordance with company standards.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical parts promptly to avoid operational downtime.
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, brake servicing, and other standard routine maintenance tasks.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after major operational trips.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience working as a Mechanic.
- At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience specifically maintaining and repairing trucks or heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
- Extensive working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
- Strong background in executing both preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy-duty fleets.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
