About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of trucks, commercial vehicles, and operational equipment are electrically sound, reliable, and always ready for the road. Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic faults in trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicle electrical systems to identify potential issues before they cause costly operational breakdowns.
- Repair and replace batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, wiring harnesses, switches, and complex sensors.
- Utilize advanced electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to resolve complex wiring and component failures efficiently.
- Ensure all electrical repairs are completed to high safety standards and within required turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle faults, repairs conducted, replacement parts used, and routine maintenance schedules.
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO qualification; relevant technical certifications or trade test certificates will be a distinct advantage.
- Proven working experience of 3 to 5 years as an automotive electrician, preferably within the transport, logistics, haulage, or heavy-duty vehicle sector.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in repairing trucks, buses, and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong working knowledge of modern vehicle electrical architecture, sensors, and electronic control units.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
