About the Role
Albarka Healthspring Foundation (AHSF) is a dynamic non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations across North East Nigeria through impactful emergency and developmental programmes. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical MEAL Officer to join our team and drive evidence-based decision-making across our project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement robust systems to track performance, measure results, and generate actionable evidence for project decision-making.
- Develop and operationalize a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation framework fully aligned with organizational and donor programme objectives.
- Define clear indicators, baselines, and targets for all project components, establishing detailed indicator reference sheets.
- Ensure data collection tools consistently capture gender, age, and vulnerability-disaggregated data to maintain high standards of accountability.
- Conduct periodic Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), assessments, surveys, and regular field monitoring visits using structured checklists.
- Develop and write high-quality activity, mid-term, and end-of-project reports containing insightful summaries, recommendations, and actionable plans.
- Contribute to comprehensive final reports by documenting key findings, participant feedback, and valuable lessons learned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in M&E, preferably within an NGO, international development, or donor-funded humanitarian programme context.
- Demonstrated expertise in results-based monitoring, indicator tracking, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and data quality assurance.
- Proficiency in digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox or ODK, advanced Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis software.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, SPSS, STATA, or similar visualization tools is a distinct advantage.
- Prior experience in third-party monitoring, social protection initiatives, cash transfer programs, or Social Register projects, particularly in Borno or Northeast Nigeria.
