About the Role
The Center for Humanitarian Impact and Development (C-HID) is seeking a dedicated and analytical MEAL Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in empowering vulnerable communities through robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning initiatives. You will ensure that our diverse interventions in WASH, food security, health, and resilience meet the highest standards of quality and impact.
Key Responsibilities- Support routine monitoring of project activities to ensure implementation aligns with approved standards, timelines, and strategic targets.
- Collect, review, analyze, and maintain accurate program data to support high-quality internal and donor reporting.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to document findings, operational challenges, lessons learned, and actionable recommendations.
- Strengthen organizational accountability mechanisms by actively following up on community feedback and complaints.
- Collaborate closely with program teams to proactively identify data-quality issues and implement timely corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in MEAL or project monitoring within the humanitarian or development sector.
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Unwavering commitment to humanitarian principles, social inclusion, and respectful engagement with affected populations.
- Willingness and resilience to travel and work within challenging field environments.
- Strict adherence to organizational policies, safeguarding standards, PSEA, and anti-corruption requirements.
- Local context knowledge of Gujba and/or Buni Yadi will be a distinct advantage.
