About the Role

Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF) is a non-governmental, non-profit, faith-inspired humanitarian organization committed to empowering orphans, widows, vulnerable children, women, and indigent communities across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Matron / Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential children's home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for all residents. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to child welfare, possessing the leadership skills necessary to manage residential staff and maintain high standards of care, hygiene, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations and administration of the residential children's home.
  • Ensure strict adherence to child safeguarding, protection policies, and best practices.
  • Supervise caregivers, administrative personnel, and support staff to maintain high-quality care.
  • Oversee children's welfare, healthcare needs, personal hygiene, and nutritional feeding programs.
  • Foster a warm, disciplined, and supportive family-like environment for all residents.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding inventory, health reports, and resident development.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience managing an orphanage or residential children's facility.
  • Thorough knowledge of child safeguarding, rights, and protection standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising caregivers and residential support staff.
  • Deep understanding of children's welfare, healthcare management, and hygiene standards.
  • Strong leadership abilities, absolute integrity, patience, and compassion.
  • Willingness to reside and work within the orphanage environment.
  • Ability to provide verifiable professional references.
