About the Role
Wentworth Schools, a reputable private educational institution located in Ikotun, Lagos State, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor for Solar PV Installation and Maintenance. In this role, you will play a vital part in equipping our students with practical, in-demand technical skills in the renewable energy sector, preparing them for future career opportunities in Nigeria's evolving power industry.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons on Solar PV system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
- Guide students through hands-on practical sessions in wiring, panel mounting, inverter setup, and battery configuration.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, training manuals, and assessment tools aligned with industry standards.
- Ensure a safe learning environment in the workshop by strictly enforcing health and safety protocols.
- Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and mentor aspiring technicians throughout their training program.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience in Solar PV installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Prior teaching, training, or instructional experience in a vocational or academic setting is an added advantage.
- Must reside within or in close proximity to Ijegun, Ikotun, and Isheri areas of Lagos State.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for learners.
