About the Role
KAYS Schools is a unique citadel of learning that is child-centered, providing a caring, serene, and Christian environment for pupils and students with diverse abilities. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics and Technical Drawing Teacher to join our committed team of educators and help students discover and develop their talents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Technical Drawing in line with the approved curriculum.
- Teach theoretical concepts and practical drafting techniques while ensuring precision and safety.
- Develop lesson notes, schemes of work, and teaching materials tailored to diverse student needs.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE.
- Evaluate, record, and report on students' academic progress and personal development.
- Encourage logical reasoning, spatial awareness, and the practical application of mathematical concepts.
- Provide extra academic support for struggling students through targeted tutorials and coaching sessions.
- Incorporate ICT and modern teaching methodologies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Maintain positive discipline and create an inspiring classroom environment that motivates learners.
- Participate actively in extracurricular activities, STEM clubs, and academic competitions.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, or B.Tech in Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
- Strong understanding of both Nigerian and international curricula (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into lesson delivery.
