About the Role
Shehu Shagari Model Islamic Centre (SSMIC) is a prominent integrated educational institution located at the Shehu Shagari Central Mosque, Area 1, Section 2, Garki, Abuja. We serve as a beacon of academic excellence and spiritual development, seamlessly blending the conventional Nigerian educational curriculum with profound Islamic and moral guidance. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our esteemed secondary school team and inspire the next generation of learners.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Mathematics lessons aligned with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to improve academic performance.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and uphold the moral and ethical standards of the institution.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, school-sponsored extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Integrate Islamic values and ethical principles naturally into daily teaching practices and student mentorship.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc/B.A), or HND in Mathematics or a highly relevant field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of proven teaching experience in secondary school Mathematics.
- Strong command of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
