About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy is a premier private educational institution located in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Following our exciting rebranding from Chucklers Heights Montessori and our strategic expansion into secondary education at our newly developed permanent site, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the artistic and cultural life of our school, fostering a deep appreciation for music among students from diverse age groups.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging, comprehensive music curricula for primary and secondary students
- Teach students vocal and instrumental techniques, music theory, and history
- Direct school choirs, bands, and musical ensembles for school events and cultural programs
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development
- Prepare students for external music examinations and performances
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate music into interdisciplinary school projects
- Relevant educational qualifications in Music Education, Music, or a related field
- Proven teaching experience in a reputable school environment
- Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) and strong vocal skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities
