About the Role
Living Treasure Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our esteemed academic team in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in cultivating analytical thinking and mathematical proficiency among our secondary school students within a nurturing Christian environment. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Mathematics lessons aligned with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to improve academic outcomes.
- Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral progress in accordance with school policies.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate professionally with parents regarding student development.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc (Ed), or a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (relevant postgraduate qualifications or TRCN certification are strong advantages).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- Deep understanding of secondary school mathematics syllabi and contemporary teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
