About the Role
The St. Bridgets Schools, an esteemed educational institution in Aba, Abia State with a rich legacy dating back to 1987, is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher for our Junior Secondary School section. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Develop comprehensive lesson notes, instructional materials, assignments, and periodic tests.
- Monitor and accurately assess students' academic progress, maintaining up-to-date records of performance and attendance.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive, disciplined learning environment.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and active student participation in Mathematics.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and school management regarding student development.
- Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Minimum of an NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Junior Secondary School Mathematics curriculum and modern teaching methodologies.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and educational technology.
- TRCN registration and prior experience preparing students for BECE exams will be considered a strong advantage.
