About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a growing school in Yaba, Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction based on the British Curriculum, inspiring young learners to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills while preparing them for both internal assessments and Cambridge Primary Mathematics examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the British Curriculum standards.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans and continuously assess students' academic progress.
  • Prepare pupils effectively for internal assessments and Cambridge Primary Mathematics examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including grades and performance reports.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas for improvement.
  • Actively participate in school activities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development programs.
  • Utilise modern classroom technologies, including Interactive Whiteboards, to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
  • TRCN Certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience within a British Curriculum school.
  • Proven track record of successfully teaching the British Curriculum.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing pupils for Cambridge Primary Mathematics assessments.
  • Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of modern pedagogical technologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in using Interactive Whiteboards and other classroom technology.
  • Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for pupils.
