About the Role
Elevation Professionals, a leading management consultancy and publishing firm registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, is currently recruiting a dedicated Mathematics Teacher on behalf of a client organization based in Ipaja, Lagos. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to contribute meaningfully to students' academic growth while working within a professional and supportive environment.
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured mathematics lessons in line with the curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress and academic performance
- Develop teaching materials and instructional strategies suited to different learning styles
- Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide extra support to students who require additional academic assistance
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to improve academic outcomes
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance when necessary
- A Bachelor's degree or NCE in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Proven teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts for easy understanding
- Must reside in Lagos, preferably within or close to the Ipaja axis
