Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with approved academic standards and school curricula.
- Develop effective lesson plans utilizing differentiated instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methodologies into daily classroom instruction.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Maintain accurate physical and digital records of student attendance, assessments, and academic performance.
- Foster critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for mathematics.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and enrich the overall student experience.
- Prepare students thoroughly for success in WAEC, NECO, and other prestigious external examinations and competitions.
- B.Sc.(Ed.) in Mathematics or a related field, or B.Sc. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline supplemented by a PGDE.
- Possession of a recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed., PGDE, PGCE, NCE, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Demonstrated strong subject matter expertise accompanied by excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the effective integration of educational technology in the classroom.
- Prior experience teaching the Nigerian and/or British curriculum will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations.
