Hampos Academy, a reputable private nursery and primary school located in the serene Apo Resettlement area of Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) Teacher. Our school blends the British and American curricula to foster critical thinking, confidence, and strong moral character. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can help our primary school pupils build a solid, age-appropriate understanding of Islamic teachings, values, and practices in a warm, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver clear, engaging IRS lessons aligned with the school curriculum and developmental goals.
- Teach Islamic beliefs, moral conduct, values, and inspiring stories using child-friendly instructional methods.
- Promote discipline, empathy, respect, and positive behavioral values through interactive classroom activities.
- Assess student comprehension and provide constructive, supportive feedback to encourage continuous growth.
- Maintain an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and respected.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers and school leadership to support holistic student development.
- Uphold strict safeguarding standards and adhere to all internal school policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies or a closely related academic field.
- Previous teaching experience with young children is a strong advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of authentic Islamic teachings and modern child-friendly pedagogy.
