About the Role

Myrtle Management Consultants is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Man to join our operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumables required for safe and efficient rig operations. You will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence, aligning with our commitment to delivering passion, pace, and performance to our clients across the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Properly label, catalog, store, and preserve materials in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and identify replenishment requirements.
  • Issue materials and equipment strictly to authorized personnel while documenting all movements.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock counts and effectively reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are correctly identified, stored, and handled in line with safety standards.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping within all stores and material storage areas.
  • Comply strictly with company health, safety, and environment (HSE) procedures at all times.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of an OND or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in materials management, stores, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Previous working experience in oil and gas, marine, offshore, or drilling environments is a strong advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of inventory control systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Possession of valid offshore safety certifications and medical fitness where applicable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and solid team collaboration abilities.
