About the Role

Myrtle Management Consultants is seeking a dedicated and experienced Crane Operator to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering operational excellence by ensuring the safe and efficient lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial or offshore cranes safely and efficiently in compliance with project lifting procedures and HSE standards.
  • Conduct thorough pre-use inspections and functional checks of all crane components and lifting gear prior to operation.
  • Execute complex lifting and lowering maneuvers strictly in accordance with approved site lift plans.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with riggers, banksmen, and deck personnel via clear and consistent communication channels.
  • Monitor environmental conditions, load charts, crane capacity limits, and weight restrictions continuously.
  • Report any mechanical defects, malfunctions, or unsafe site conditions immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate operational logs, daily checklists, and routine crane inspection records.
  • Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and routine lifting drills.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of an SSCE, OND, or relevant technical qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Valid and recognized Crane Operator certification or license appropriate for the specific crane type.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on crane operating experience, preferably within heavy industry, manufacturing, or the oil and gas sector.
  • Valid safety and medical certifications as required by operational standards.
  • Strong working knowledge of rigging principles, load handling, and comprehensive risk awareness.
