About the Role
Dreamworks Global Logistics Limited is a leading player in the Nigerian logistics market, dedicated to partnering with clients to achieve their business goals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly organised Fleet Manager to oversee and manage our comprehensive fleet of delivery vehicles and motorcycles. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring maximum fleet availability, stringent safety compliance, cost control, and efficient daily logistics operations across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations, allocation, and movement of the company's fleet of vehicles and motorcycles.
- Supervise drivers, riders, mechanics, and other fleet personnel to ensure high performance and adherence to safety policies.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and coordinate repairs with approved vendors.
- Monitor and control fuel consumption, tracking usage to prevent excesses and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure timely renewal of all statutory documents, including vehicle licences, insurance, and roadworthiness certificates.
- Utilise GPS and tracking systems to monitor vehicle movement, identify unauthorised usage, and respond to operational emergencies.
- Maintain accurate inventory and comprehensive records of maintenance, mileage, and expenses, preparing regular reports for management.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in fleet management within the Nigerian logistics, courier, or transport industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing both vehicles and motorcycles, vehicle maintenance, and fuel management.
- Strong leadership, vendor negotiation, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet management software, alongside a valid driver's licence.
