Key Responsibilities- Inspect incoming raw materials, equipment, and components against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional checks to identify any defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- Verify material test certificates, mill certificates, and other compliance documentation prior to site acceptance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records, log sheets, and non-conformance reports.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and quality control personnel to resolve material-related issues promptly.
- Ensure all storage and handling procedures for materials meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Material Inspector within the Oil & Gas, construction, or heavy engineering sectors.
- Relevant quality inspection certifications (e.g., CSWIP, NDT, API) will be a strong added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (ASTM, ASME, API, ISO).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
