About the Role
TechnoServe is seeking a dynamic Market Development and Supply Systems Manager in Nigeria to drive concrete employment and business opportunities for project participants. In this high-level deal-making role, you will convert strategic partnerships with processors, TVETs, government agencies, and financial institutions into tangible job placements, offtake agreements, and inclusive sourcing contracts that empower women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Secure firm hiring commitments from medium and large-scale processors for marginalized groups.
- Broker formal supply contracts and backward integration between processors and smallholder clusters.
- Establish placement-led partnerships and aligned training modules with TVET institutions.
- Facilitate B2B matchmaking, purchase orders, and dedicated financing products with commercial and microfinance banks.
- Partner with regulatory bodies like NAFDAC, SON, and SMEDAN to streamline certifications for micro-processors.
- Collaborate with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to ensure accessible work environments and inclusive hiring.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 5 years, in Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain optimization, market linkages, and value chain development within agricultural sectors.
- Proven track record in designing market access interventions that improve sales, employment, or SME incomes.
- Familiarity with Nigeria's food processing sector, regulatory frameworks, and donor-funded development projects is highly preferred.
