About the Role
IOTA Group is seeking a highly skilled Marine Superintendent to provide expert technical and operational support for offshore marine activities in Onne, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all rig moves, vessel operations, and marine logistics while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the company marine representative for complex rig and barge moves.
- Support calls for tender, technical evaluations, and the selection of marine contractors and vessels.
- Review and approve anchor patterns, anchoring procedures, and specialized marine operations.
- Serve as the affiliate Dynamic Positioning (DP) Authority and conduct necessary DP audits.
- Monitor AHTS operations, perform boat landing inspections, and oversee fast crew boat activities.
- Participate in marine risk assessments, emergency response planning, and cause tree analysis.
- Conduct thorough contractor audits and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate HSE policies and promote a proactive offshore safety culture.
- Degree in Marine Engineering or Nautical Studies.
- Valid Master Certificate for seagoing vessels or Unlimited Chief Engineer License.
- Extensive background as a Marine Warranty Surveyor and valid OVID certification.
- Proven expertise in rig operations, rig moving, OIM activities, AHTS, and Dynamic Positioning.
- Strong understanding of marine logistics, personnel transportation, and HSE standards.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
