About the Role
Little Saints Montessori School is a well-established private educational institution located at 31 Sura Mogaji St, Ilupeju, Lagos. Founded in 1985, our school blends the traditional Montessori method with a rigorous blended British and Nigerian curriculum to provide holistic education for early childhood and primary learners. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to introduce our students to the Chinese language and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Mandarin language lessons tailored to early childhood and primary students.
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate games, songs, and cultural activities to foster a love for language learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate Mandarin learning themes into the broader school curriculum.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Education, Modern Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Mandarin to young children in a structured school environment.
- Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in teaching Chinese as a foreign language (such as HSK or CTCSOL) will be an added advantage.
- Strong passion for early childhood education and a patient, engaging teaching demeanor.
- Valid residency and work authorization in Nigeria.
