About the Role
Newedge Finance Limited, a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) licensed Finance Company established in 2019, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer to lead our next phase of growth. We deliver innovative loan, investment, and financial advisory solutions to diverse clients across the private and public sectors. As our MD/CEO, you will steer our corporate strategy, optimize operations, and solidify our market position within the dynamic Nigerian financial services landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall strategic leadership and set the long-term vision for the organisation in alignment with the Board of Directors.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and stakeholder value creation across all business units.
- Oversee all critical operational functions, including finance, technology infrastructure, risk management, and customer experience.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with regulators, investors, board members, and key industry partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing executive management team.
- Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations, corporate governance standards, and relevant financial services legislation.
- Report directly to the Board of Directors and effectively execute board-approved strategic initiatives.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of senior management experience in the Nigerian financial services industry, focusing on lending, fintech, microfinance, or commercial banking.
- Proven track record of success as a Managing Director, Country Manager, or in a similar executive leadership role within a regulated financial institution.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian economic landscape, credit and lending operations, and robust debt recovery practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications will be a strong advantage.
