About the Role

Stockgap Fuels Limited, a leading downstream petroleum and LPG distribution company in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced Manager, Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations across our modern facilities and nationwide network. In this pivotal role, you will lead a multi-site maintenance team, drive operational reliability, and ensure compliance with the highest safety and efficiency standards while managing critical assets worth millions of naira.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead reactive and proactive maintenance of LPG filling plants, bulk storage facilities, loading gantries, cylinder recertification lines, and depot facilities across Nigeria
  • Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance asset longevity
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and establish strong vendor and contractor relationships
  • Ensure full compliance with DPR, SON, HSSE, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and regulations
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new plant equipment and machinery
  • Coach, develop, and manage high-performing maintenance teams across multiple locations
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives, implement lean practices, and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CMMS records and report on maintenance KPIs to senior management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management; Professional Level 5/NVQ 5 certification required. MBA or MSc is advantageous
  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on maintenance experience in Oil & Gas downstream operations, including LPG plants, terminals, or cylinder operations
  • Strong technical knowledge, P&L management, ISO standards, APQP, and Lean methodologies
  • Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and HSSE-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
