About the Role

NewGlobe supports visionary governments to transform public education systems, the cornerstone of a prosperous, equitable, and peaceful society. We are currently looking for a dynamic Manager, IT Operations to ensure the provision of superior customer service throughout the business via the maintenance, enhancement, and efficient operation of our IT functions. In this role, you will safeguard the security and integrity of our IT operations and systems while providing leadership and line management to IT officers and associates. Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and operate under minimal supervision is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-point IT support for local staff, covering all hardware, software, and associated peripherals.
  • Manage local area networks, internet connections, and network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Deploy computers, school technology, and operating systems according to established standards.
  • Ensure robust network security through appropriate hardware, software, and IT policy development.
  • Log, manage, and prioritize service desk tickets to minimize backlogs and ensure rapid issue resolution.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior IT staff members to foster a culture of service excellence.
  • Manage IT infrastructure improvement projects, including scheduling and budgeting.
  • Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with key technology suppliers.

Qualifications
  • Degree from a recognized university with top marks in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of relevant IT and industry work experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, TCP/IP, and Active Directory administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Desktop and Windows Server (2012 or newer).
  • Familiarity with Android technologies, smartphones, LAN/Wi-Fi configurations, and AWS.
  • Experience administering Microsoft systems such as Navision, IIS, or SharePoint.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
