About the Role
HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading company in building solutions and a member of the LafargeHolcim group, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Training Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping a highly competent workforce by preparing, facilitating, monitoring, and evaluating training activities within our training centres and cement plants across Nigeria, ensuring alignment with our high standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, develop, and source comprehensive training programmes to meet specific maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to design effective instructional materials, manuals, and handbooks.
- Facilitate learning through classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and on-the-job coaching.
- Map out strategic training plans and assess training needs for new and existing maintenance employees.
- Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness and track outcomes.
- Work closely with Plant Teams to prepare candidates for maintenance qualification and certification processes.
- Manage in-house training facilities, equipment, and coordinate logistics for all learning activities.
- Partner with the Head of iL&D to manage the training budget and maintain accurate employee records.
- Graduate-level qualification in Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and maintenance functions.
- Expert coaching, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of safety standards, laws, and regulations.
