About the Role
Muse Boutique Hotel, an upscale, five-star hospitality establishment situated in Independence Layout, Enugu, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues promptly and efficiently.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and guest complaints reported by the front desk or housekeeping departments.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify potential hazards, wear and tear, or safety violations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized facility repairs and installations.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, hotel policies, and industry regulations while executing tasks.
- Minimum of a Trade Test Certificate, OND, or relevant vocational qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably within a luxury hotel, upscale resort, or commercial hospitality environment.
- Strong working knowledge of general plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and hotel staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call shifts when required.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Enugu is essential.
