About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mining Engineer / Mining Manager to lead our quarry and hard rock mining operations in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end mining processes, drive operational excellence, and ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental standards while managing heavy equipment and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily quarry production operations, including basalt, hard stone, and blue metal aggregate extraction.
- Supervise drilling and blasting operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee crushing, screening, excavation, loading, and hauling processes to meet production targets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive mine planning, scheduling, and resource allocation strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage site personnel, equipment operators, and engineering teams.
- Ensure stringent implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all site operations.
- Coordinate Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) maintenance, deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), B.Tech, or B.Sc. in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.
- 10 to 15 years of proven experience in hard rock and stone quarry operations.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in open-pit hard rock mining, drilling, blasting, crushing, and screening.
- Strong background in managing quarry production cycles, workforce allocation, and heavy machinery.
- In-depth knowledge of mine planning software, industry safety standards, and HSE compliance.
