Key Responsibilities- Supervise fitting, turning, and mechanical maintenance activities across plant machinery and systems.
- Coordinate daily maintenance work assigned to fitters, turners, and other relevant technical personnel.
- Support both preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability.
- Inspect mechanical equipment proactively to identify wear, faults, and potential failures before they escalate.
- Coordinate repairs and oversee the timely replacement of worn mechanical components.
- Support complex troubleshooting of plant machinery and mechanical systems alongside technical teams.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in strict accordance with approved standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, logs, and operational reports.
- Collaborate closely with Production and other technical departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Enforce appropriate safety protocols and procedures during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Escalate major equipment defects and critical maintenance risks to management promptly.
- Must hold a Class 1 Trade Tested Fitter and Turner certification.
- Possess an SSCE/WAEC/NECO certificate with at least five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and two Science subjects.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability, practical fitting and turning experience, and proven supervisory capability.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to industrial workplace safety.
- Preference will be given to candidates who reside in Ode Remo or nearby communities and can reasonably commute to the plant daily.
