About the Role
South Merits Royal Hotels and Suites in Calabar, in partnership with Wertvoll Consulting Services, is currently seeking a competent, experienced, and committed Maintenance Staff (Technician) to join our dynamic hospitality team. We are looking for a hands-on professional who is passionate about maintaining high facility standards and delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units.
- Troubleshoot and resolve general facility issues promptly to minimize guest disruption.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel regulations across all operational areas.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to promptly address urgent maintenance requests.
- Relevant technical certification, trade test, or equivalent professional qualification in facility management or engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience as a maintenance technician, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
- Willingness to reside in Calabar or relocate for the position.
