About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and versatile Maintenance and Porter to join our dedicated hospitality team in Nigeria. In this dual-function role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the pristine condition of our property while also delivering warm, attentive guest services that define the Wellstay brand.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
- Ensure all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas remain fully functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Assist arriving and departing guests with luggage handling, transport coordination, and inquiries.
- Respond promptly to maintenance call-outs and guest requests with a professional and helpful attitude.
- Identify and report major facility faults, structural issues, or safety hazards to hotel management immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance tasks, repairs completed, and inventory usage.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification or a technical certificate in a relevant trade.
- At least 2 years of proven hands-on experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or hotel operations.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and carpentry work.
- Naturally handy, proactive, highly reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical capability to handle luggage, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
