Prime Atlantic Limited, a wholly Nigerian-owned industry leader established in 2003, is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Planner / Scheduler I to join our dynamic team. Operating at the forefront of the oil and gas sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, we pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive solutions under stringent global standards. In this pivotal role, you will champion safety, optimize resource allocation, and ensure seamless coordination across all maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and environmental (SHE) standards as the top priority.
- Plan and schedule routine and complex maintenance activities, collaborating closely with core work teams and execution leads.
- Develop comprehensive job plans incorporating materials, specialized resources, cost estimates, and precise timelines.
- Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events, turnaround windows, and field order changes.
- Resolve complex scheduling issues such as resource overloads, out-of-sequence updates, negative float, and scope changes.
- Contribute effectively to maintenance work contracting and procurement strategies while educating field personnel on look-ahead schedules.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering within a relevant discipline, alongside appropriate professional certifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated professional background in maintenance planning, scheduling, or closely related technical roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and industry-standard planning and scheduling software applications.
- Strong grasp of safety requirements, procurement practices, contractor interfaces, and labor crew management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey clear recommendations to management.
- Proven leadership capabilities to remove operational barriers, facilitate team meetings, and steward action items.
