About the Role
Matrix International Academy, a leading private institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting a dedicated Maintenance Officer (Plumber) to join our facilities management team. We blend Nigerian and British national curriculums to provide exceptional education to students from Nursery through Secondary levels. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to maintaining our world-class educational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain all plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the school campus
- Conduct routine inspections of water systems, pipes, and sanitary installations
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and maintenance requests from staff
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of all plumbing infrastructure
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs completed
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure facilities remain safe and functional
- Identify areas requiring upgrades or replacements and report to management
- Proven experience as a plumber or in plumbing maintenance roles
- Sound knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety practices
- Good character and sound health status
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to uphold school values and professionalism
- Computer literacy is advantageous
- Valid certifications or licenses in plumbing (preferred)
