About the Role
Blu Atlantic Hotel is a luxurious 50-room architectural masterpiece located in the heart of Lekki, renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional service delivery. We are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our facility management team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards by ensuring all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure function safely and efficiently to deliver a seamless experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems across the hotel.
- Inspect the building and infrastructure regularly to identify potential issues and execute prompt repairs.
- Handle general upkeep tasks including painting surfaces, repairing doors, fixing fixtures, and replacing lighting.
- Monitor and test safety infrastructure such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, and building security systems.
- Respond swiftly to guest and internal service requests to resolve maintenance issues with minimal disruption.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of all maintenance work performed and report major infrastructural needs to management.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and operational standards at all times.
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry works.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
