About the Role
Movana Hotel & Suites is a premier 4-star boutique hotel situated in the vibrant Alimosho corporate and commercial corridor of Lagos, Nigeria. Established in 2023, our property provides upscale accommodations, corporate event spaces, and high-end leisure amenities tailored for both business executives and discerning travelers on the Lagos Mainland. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated hospitality team and ensure our facilities consistently operate at the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel rooms, public areas, furniture, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and kitchen equipment regularly to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and guest complaints reported by the front desk or housekeeping departments.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and scheduled equipment servicing.
- Supervise third-party contractors and technicians during specialized facility upgrades or major repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations across the hotel premises.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience in facility maintenance, preferably within the hospitality or real estate sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
