About the Role
The Nook Apartments is a premier boutique luxury hotel and short-stay serviced apartment venue located in the vibrant commercial hub of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the pristine condition of our upscale property, ensuring that all physical structures, fixtures, and recreational amenities function seamlessly to deliver an unforgettable experience for our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of hotel rooms, apartments, and public areas to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting as required.
- Maintain and service HVAC systems, generators, and other essential hospitality equipment.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and guest complaints with a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Ensure all facilities comply with safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a similar technical role within the hospitality industry is a distinct advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and familiarity with standard maintenance tools and equipment.
