The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of school facility maintenance, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment where our students and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes for all building systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair work, ensuring timely completion and adherence to high-quality standards.
- Manage and prioritize daily maintenance requests submitted by academic and administrative staff.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and operational expenses.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate effectively with external contractors and service providers when specialized work is required.
- Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
- Participate in long-term planning for school facility improvements, upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar operational role.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, safety-first approach to facility issues.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication abilities.
