About the Role
Sun Pharma, the world's fourth largest specialty generic pharmaceutical company, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering work, maintaining production machines and utilities, and ensuring minimal downtime to support our mission of delivering trusted, high-quality medicines to patients globally.
Key Responsibilities- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and equipment for the Oral Liquid Dosage plant to minimize downtime.
- Ensure availability and proper storage of machine spares, consumables, and maintain accurate maintenance and breakdown records.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new factory machines and equipment.
- Support smooth operations of plant machinery in the Oral Solid plant and oversee HVAC systems.
- Manage utilities equipment including boilers, air compressors, chillers, water treatment plants, and pumps while adhering to strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensure full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for all oral liquid dosage machinery and HVAC systems.
- Monitor, review, and update engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and facility validation documentation.
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing practices, maintenance quality, and facility management.
- Proficient in the application of both electrical and mechanical tools for effective equipment delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in corrective and preventive maintenance management along with robust documentation skills.
